01 — Mood

Composed by hand, in batches of eighty.
“A candle is the smallest possible architecture for a feeling. You light it, and the room becomes a different room.”
Every composition begins in Astrid's notebook before it ever sees wax. We blend essential oils and absolutes — no synthetic top notes, no shortcuts — then pour by hand into amber glass at low temperature so the scent never burns.
Eight weeks from first sketch to first burn. Eighty candles per batch. When a season ends, the candle ends with it.

The Ritual · Four Steps
A candle is a practice, not a purchase.
Follow the ritual and a single Lumera will give you sixty hours of even, fragrant burn. Skip it, and the wax will tunnel within a week.
I
Trim
Cut the cotton wick to 5 mm before every burn. Long wicks soot, short wicks tunnel.
II
Burn
First burn, at least two hours. Let the molten pool reach the edge of the vessel — this sets the memory.
III
Rest
Extinguish with a snuffer, never a breath. Let the wax cool, undisturbed, for four hours.
IV
Return
Light again. Sixty hours, slow. When the wick recedes below 10 mm, retire the vessel — refill or repurpose.
